How we price

Nowhere on this site will you find lowest price guaranteed, cheapest in Ireland or a permanent countdown. We have not priced every rival on every product every day, so we cannot honestly say it, and a claim like that is enforceable against us under the Consumer Protection Act 2007.

What we say instead is Our price, and where a saving is real, wording of the form Save €10.00 vs the manufacturer's published price — naming the source and the date it was checked.

A crossed-out price only appears when all four of these hold. Miss one and the product is shown at its plain price, with no saving advertised:

• A named source — a manufacturer's own site, or a retailer's listing.
• A working link to the page that price was read on, so you can check it.
• A human at Kickroom recorded it, and their name is stored against it.
• It has not gone stale. References expire, and an expired one stops counting.

Right now 4 of 52 variants carry a live, verified reference. The rest are sold at our normal price and appear on no deals page.

Every product has a minimum price: what it cost us, plus the card fee, plus the cost of shipping it, plus a required margin. The system will not sell below that line, and it will not let an administrator set a price below it either — the attempt is refused and flagged rather than quietly accepted.

So if a competitor goes below our floor, we do not follow them down. The product keeps its normal price and drops off the deals page. We would rather lose the sale than pretend.

When a product page says two left, there are two. The number is the inventory table, not a decoration: units are held the moment a checkout starts and released if it is abandoned, and the count falls when a payment actually completes. There is no artificial scarcity anywhere on this site.

No customer reviews — we have not had customers yet, and inventing them is fraud. No barcodes or GTINs on own-brand items where we do not hold one; the product feed says so explicitly rather than guessing a number.
